Reception Admissions for September 2026

This information is for parents of children born between 1 September 2021 and 31 August 2022, applying to start primary school in September 2025. If your child was born between these dates, please read the following information carefully and ensure you have submitted your online application by 15 January 2026.

You will receive the outcome of your application on national offer day, directly from the Local Authority in which you live on 16th April 2026.

For summer born children, to be admitted outside of their normal age group, please send your request to [email protected] for consideration.

If you are offered a place at Courtwood Primary School: Congratulations! You must accept or decline the place through your local authority.

If you are not offered a place at Courtwood Primary School: We hope you are happy with the school that you have been offered. If, however, you wish to appeal the decision not to offer a place at Courtwood Primary School, please see information HERE on how to submit an appeal for a place in Reception.

Please note Courtwood Primary School is unable to answer any queries about the waiting list until the list is received from the local authority.

In-Year Admissions

In-year admissions are managed by Croydon Council and information to access this can be found here.

If you wish to appeal against the decision not to offer a place in Years R-6, please contact the Governance and Compliance Manager at The Collegiate Trust for an appeals form. You will need to set out the grounds for your appeal. Forms submitted without this information will not be accepted.
